When going gets tough...

elisabeth.png
- The tough gets going! It might be the biggest cliché of them all, but it does not make it less true. I have never been the one to quit on something, stubborn as hell, it has led to a lot of frustration and sometimes tears, but it has also led me to where I am today. Stronger and more confident then I was yesterday. I have taken some "blog and media free" time these past months, and it has done me a world of good. Some time ago my boyfriend and I broke up. We have been together for almost 6 years. Read more

Seriously busy!

juliAug001.JPG

One month back I took up golfing as a new hobby. Little did I know that I would end up totally addicted and driving an extra hour every other day to go golfing. I would not announce myself as a good golfer, yet anyway, since I only managed to get down to a hcp of 39. Not too bad though, but I am aiming for 36 by the end of the season! I guess it is just the way I am...I need to do my best at everything I do. Otherwise I don't really see any point of doing it. If taking up yet another very time-consuming hobby (keep in mind that I also have my own horse in addition to doing weight training at least 4times a week) was the smartest move I have done in a while can discussed, but I am not one of those who enjoy having too much time at my hands anyway. Ready for my summer vacation!

IMG_0457.JPG
The last month has been the busiest month of my life, or at least a close second. Almost every hour of every day has been accounted for. Between my job, working out, rock-climbing course, golf course and my horse only an hour was left of my day! That single hour was naturally used for preparing food and clothes for the next day.It might be easy for me to say that even though I have been so busy, I still was very much able to keep my healthy diet. After competing for so many years, I guess you have just learned that food is of high priority, no matter what your day looks like. Read more

Back where I belong

Trening.png
Oh my God, it is so good to finally be back in the gym! After getting a light pneumonia a couple of weeks ago I have been more or less in the bed or on the couch. I have been at work every day, even if I probably shouldn't have - but if I have to stay at home all day I would have gone crazy by the end of the first day! The gym or any other kinds of social activity have been put on hold...till now. Yesterday morning I was in the gym for the first time since mid may, and it was so damn good! In all Read more

When life seems unfair..

KaliberTrening.jpg
It is no secret that life throws you a curve-ball once in a while, it is how you are handling it that matters. The latter part of 2011 and well into 2012 has not been the best months of my life, to say it at least. Even if I would like to refuse to let "it" affect me, it still does. My workouts has not been the best, my diet has really not been the best..which again is affecting me wanting to work out or not. And last but not least, it is affecting my mood. The only thing that works for me during a rough period is to take a step back, reevaluate what I want and why I am doing what I am doing. Read more

5 Years and going strong!

C_L8Z6969.jpg
In a busy everyday-life with school, work, training as well as other social events, it might be hard to remember to set aside some time for your closest one. This also applies for me. February 14th is a bit more than Valentine's Day for me. It is also the anniversary of my boyfriend and I. This past Valentine's Day we have been together for 5years. We have been through 6 diets and 11 contests together, where two of the contest we were dieting together. Everyone who has some insight to this particular sport knows that when your significant other is dieting, living and being together gets harder. Read more

Hi, all!

elisabeth.png
Yesterday I had an AMAZING leg workout! You know one of those epic workouts where everything just «works»! I mean, no aches anywhere, the strength and energy level just lets you keep on pushing through every crucial repetition. I just love those days :-) Thursday's leg-workout: einast i går hadde eg ei knall økt på beina! Mulig det var PB, vanskeleg å vite når eg har brukt ulike beinpressmaskiner dei siste åra. Kjem heilt an på vinkelen og konstruksjonen av "tralla" Warm up: Light weight squats in the smith machine, high rep. Read more
